A headliner and an icon of the Woodstock Music Festival in 1969, Creedence Clearwater Revival captured the attention of millions with their unique brand of soul-felt swampy blues rock. Still relevant to this day, this is music with feeling, hypnotising the mind and moving the body.

You will also hear an short set of the music of an equal Woodstock headliner, songwriter and guitarist extraordinaire – Jimi Hendrix, with songs including Purple Haze, Hey Joe, Foxy Lady, Highway Chile, Fire, Wind Cries Mary, Watchtower, and more.

Jimi is widely regarded as one of the most influential electric guitarists in the history of popular music, and one of the most celebrated musicians of the 20th century. His style fused blues, jazz, rock and soul with unique playing techniques which redefined the electric guitar in music.

One of Australia’s most iconic rock bands, The Radiators, is back to take on Mullum this November.

The path to rock ‘n’ roll stardom is fraught with peril, scattered with the dreams of countless hopefuls, one-hit wonders, and those left wondering “what if.” While many bands dissolve in the garage, victims of ego clashes and personality conflicts, only a few truly make it. One of those success stories is the legendary Australian band, The Radiators, who celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2018 since their first performance.

The Radiators have secured their place in Australian rock history, sharing stages with icons like AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, and INXS, and boasting over 4,000 live shows. They’ve entertained millions across Australia, recorded more than 100 original tracks, earned two Platinum albums, two Gold albums, and sold over a million units.

Even after decades, The Radiators continue to tour vigorously, performing around 100 shows each year. Fans, both young and old, gather to experience a slice of living Australian rock history, dancing the night away to the timeless hits that have made The Radiators a household name in Aussie rock music.

Mullum Roots Festival Launch Concert

Esteemed musician and founder of the renowned Nimbin Roots Festival, Lou Bradley, is bringing an exciting musical venture to the heart of Mullumbimby. The inaugural Mullum Roots Festival is scheduled to take place in July 2025, promising a vibrant celebration of music, community, and sustainability.

Following the hiatus of the beloved Mullumbimby Music Festival in 2020, Lou saw an opportunity to fill the void and revive the town’s rich musical tradition. “The absence of the Mullumbimby Music Festival has been deeply felt within our community,” says Lou. “We aim to create a sister festival to the Nimbin Roots Festival, injecting new life into Mullumbimby’s cultural landscape.”

Lou, and her husband Phil, both share deep roots in Mullumbimby, and she is determined to collaborate closely with the local community to ensure the festival’s success. Having nurtured their own musical careers while raising their family in the hills of Mullum, the couple are passionate about rejuvenating their hometown with the power of music.

Drawing from her extensive experience as a songwriter and performer, including being an ARIA finalist, as well as her nine-year tenure leading the Nimbin Roots Festival, Lou is well-equipped to orchestrate a successful event in Mullumbimby. Joining her is seasoned music industry veteran Jon O’Rourke, bringing over three decades of expertise as a record label owner, manager, and producer.

“We understand the intricacies of curating a memorable festival experience,” explains Jon. “Our goal is to deliver a world-class event while upholding principles of sustainability and accessibility.”

World famous artist, Reg Mombasa, who is also a band member of Dog Trumpet, loved performing at last year’s Nimbin Festival so much that he created the artwork for this year’s event and he has also designed the artwork for the inaugural Mullum Roots Festival.

To unveil the Mullum Roots Festival concept, a special concert featuring Robert Forster, (The Go Betweens), will take place on August 4th at the Mullumbimby Ex-Services Club, starting at 7pm.

Australian music legend Kevin Borich is back on the road with a freshly announced tour, delivering his infectious brand of funkin’ rockin’ blues to audiences across our great southern land.

Honed by 52 years of experience playing the world over, from jamming onstage with Santana to performing alongside the likes of Bo Diddley, Richie Blackmore (Deep Purple), Ron Wood (Rolling Stones), John Mayall, Taj Mahal, Living Colour, Joe Walsh (Eagles), Canned Heat, Elton John, Status Quo, Jeff Beck and Buddy Guy, Peter Frampton, AC/DC and more, Kevin Borich is a true force of musical nature. As one of Australia’s greatest and most acclaimed guitarists, he will be joined by two incredibly talented Aussie rock mainstays, Jon Carson on drums and Chris Gilbert on bass.

The tour comes following the release of Kevin’s latest album ‘Duets’, which was met with rave reviews and shot swiftly to number one on the Aria Rock, Blues and Jazz Charts. Bringing together 12 music greats, ‘Duets’ is practically oozing with a diverse mix of genres and style, combining professional brilliance in songwriting and stellar studio performances all distilled into one powerful record.

Following on from a critically acclaimed back catalog, Jordie Lane returns to Australia with his new studio LP Tropical Depression slated as his first ever record label release, out August 23, 2024 via ABC Music.

Recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, with Grammy nominated producer, engineer and instrumentalist Jon Estes (Kacey Musgraves, Dolly Parton, Rodney Crowell), and mixed by famed engineer Noah Georgeson (The Strokes, Devandra Banhart, Andy Shauf, Marlon Williams) and mastered by Juno Award winning Philip Shaw Bova (Feist, Father John Misty, Angel Olsen, Bahamas).

Jordie Lane marks this new chapter with a sound that consistently defies genres, with his latest wandering somewhere close to the outskirts of Americana and 60’s inspired Folk while “creating a pathbreaking and inspiring sound” all of its own. With Irreverent wit and satirical commentary, the songs on Tropical Depression tackle (among other things) Lane’s own experience with severe weather (ignited by a close call with an EF-3 Tornado) and its eventual collision with his own mental health battles.

After more than a decade releasing albums and touring with award winning indie-folk darlings Tinpan Orange, Emily Lubitz has stepped out on her own. Her debut EP, ‘Begin Again’ was released in 2022 to critical acclaim.

Lubitz is a veteran of the scene, having performed on some of the world’s biggest stages and premiere international festivals, appeared on SBS’s Rockwiz and sang the viral sensation, Dumb Ways to Die. She has collaborated with the likes of Paul Kelly, Martha Wainwright, Jen Cloher and Mama Kin, and yet her solo work is imbued with the raw energy of a breakthrough artist.

Her debut album is currently being recorded, with a release date likely to be in Summer 2024.
