Clubs are a focal point for many communities, providing a meeting place and facilitating the pursuit of interests such as sporting, community, workers, business, national, religious, RSL and ex-services. They also play a vital role in sustaining local community activities by providing significant support to local schools and playgroups, returned soldiers and war widow support groups, local hospitals and nursing homes, surf lifesaving clubs, seniors, local neighbourhood centres, emergency services, as well as charities of all sizes and types across NSW.
Located at 58 Dalley Street the Mullumbimby Ex-Services Club was started post 2nd World War by what were to become the Mullumbimby Sub-Branch of the NSW RSL. The original club occupied a house that was located approximately where the restaurant and auditorium are situated today. The current main building was opened in 1969 and the subsequent extensions of the restaurant and auditorium were opened in 1978.
Today the Club has the modern facilities expected of a 21st century establishment. The Old School Restaurant provides excellent dining catering for lunch seven days a week and dinner six days.
Mullumbimby's friendly little bowling club with the excellent Spice It Up Thai restaurant. Spice It Up open Wednesday to Sunday from 5:00pm.
